Meet John Berry and his Team

John has been training in Newmarket since 1995 and took over Beverley House Stables in 1997. During a short-lived career as an amateur jump jockey he rode one winner over fences, notably leading home Richard Dunwoody and Venetia Williams! As a trainer, his best known horses are Largesse, Il Principe, Benedict and our very own Jack Dawson the winners of 32 races between them. A keen journalist, John writes a weekly international racing column for Australia's leading racing paper Winning Post.

John says, 'We've long been fans of Equilibrium's excellent Tri-Zone tendon boots, worn by all our jumpers and ideal for racehorses as they are light yet very tough and durable. We're also currently trying out the new Tri-Zone Allsport Boot which is extremely light and flexible with great ventilation and a titanium strip at the rear of the boot to ward off striking injuries. Racehorse trainers are understandably wary of using boots as they add extra weight to a horse but it's hard to imagine a lighter boot that could offer the same level of protection and flexibility than the Allsport Boot does'.

Fans of Jack Dawson can follow his progress, in his new career of Endurance, here on this website with Rising Star, Lorna Kidson.

John Berry adds, 'Tri-Zone and Equilibrium make such very good products that I genuinely believe that they are the best on the market. I am delighted that our horses wear their boots and consequently I am very pleased that we shall be sporting their emblem.'
