Supporting Young Horse Classes

Tri-zone® has recently launched a new fetlock boot specifically designed to meet the requirements of the BSJA for its Young Horse Classes.

The BSJA has recently become increasingly concerned that restrictive fetlock boots were being used on young horses.

In an effort to respond to this problem, the BSJA has now ruled that only the Tri-zone® Fetlock 'Lite' boots, specifically designed to protect without restricting hind leg flexion, can be worn in the Young Horse Classes at the British Young Horse Championships. The boots are Slim-line making them light and easy to use. An innovative hook and loop strap secures the closure to ensure the boots stay in place, while a new 'grip tab' on the strap enables easy removal of the boot. Similarly to other Tri-Zone boots the outside shell is made from high impact resistant TPU for impact protection.

Top British Show Jumper, Will Funnell on behalf of the BSJA said 'we were delighted to work with Equilibrium Products on the development of this fetlock boot for young horses. Equilibrium listened to our requirements, made prototypes for us to test and, with our input, has developed a fetlock boot that is perfect for protecting young legs without causing any restriction. This slim-line design means that the boot is very light and easy to use. I would say that it is not only perfect for young horses but for more established horses as well'.
