Dan wins Crofton Manor Grand Prix
Dan and High Tone Z on top form
After his top class performances in Assen, Dan came back to the UK and took the Crofton Manor Grand Prix on High Tone Z. This mare has been working her way back to top form the last few months, and after giving warning of her intentions at Assen last week, jumped brilliantly to jump the only double clear and win the Grand Prix. "I thought she was very close at Assen last week, and she was in great form here. When she's in this form she really is a top class mare" said Dan. Milena 8 also jumped in the Grand Prix and after having the first fence down, jumped brilliantly the rest of the way. With both these mares in this kind of form Dan really has a good one - two punch to take into the winter season.
The rest of Dan's string were also in very good form at Crofton Manor. Chauvanist, who was very unlucky at HOYS, put that disappointment behind him and jumped an excellent double clear to finish in 2nd place in the Winter Grade C Qualifier. Back in the arena for the Grade B&C qualifier on the final day, Chauvanist again produced a very solid effort jumping double clear to finish in 4th place.
