Oakleaze Endurance Horses

Equilibrium Products are proud to sponsor Oakleaze Farm and their Endurance Horses, ridden by Louise Rich.

Bristol based Louise is an active endurance rider. She has competed in the UK at both National and FEI** level. Last year she won The Ludlow Endurance race ride held at Ludlow Racecourse.

Louise competes four horses - Oakleaze Farm Czarena, Oakleaze Farm Czelo (Cherub), Oakleaze Farm Czako and Oakleaze Farm Cziko who have all been bred at home on the Arabian Stud. Louise also has a selection of three other horses that belong to her mother Sue; they are Ground Kontrol, Oakleaze Farm Czaro and Oakleaze Farm Czamak.

This year Louise is aiming for the Young Rider World Championships held in Hungary in September 2009 so her mother will be helping her out on some of the rides by riding her horses for her to give her more of a chance of being selected for Hungary.

Louise competes at more than 30 rides during the year ranging from 17km pleasure rides to 120km FEI**races.

She uses the Equilibrium Therapy massage pad at home and takes it away with her during competitions. She also uses the Over-reach boots, Brushing Boots and Fetlock Boots, along with the Magnetic pad and the magnetic chaps.

The Magnetic Pad and Chaps are very helpful. The horses have the Magnetic Pad on for half and hour each once they finish competing. This helps to release any tightness in their muscles. Some of the horses have them on overnight. This helps his muscles recover and I find that they are not as stiff and sore as he could have been without the Magnetic Pad. We also used the back pad on the horses in the Vet gates so that their muscles are kept warm and less likely to pull anything.

Louise has recently used the new Tri-Zone Allsports boots and said, 'I did a 15mile Training ride on the weekend and used the Allsport boots and they were fab! They don't move a inch and they don't rub'
